Students from Morehouse College won 3rd place and a $10,000 grant at the 2022 HBCU Battle of the Brains in Austin, Texas. HBCU Battle of the Brains is a 24-hour hackathon dedicated to providing resources and job opportunities to business and STEM majors from historically Black colleges and universities. Student participants were tasked with pitching a comprehensive solution to a business case using business, marketing, tech, and design solutions. The teams were provided the opportunity to connect with executives from program sponsors such as the National Football League, Dell, and Amazon and as well as the opportunity to meet former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.

The Morehouse team was organized and mentored by Ernest Holmes '19, adjunct professor, and co-founder of CODEHOUSE. The team was sponsored by the Morehouse College Quiz Bowl Team and accompanied by Justin Jones '15, assistant director of online orientation and student engagement.
First and second place were won by Fisk University and Huston-Tillotson University respectively.
